Copper Mountain, Colorado
Description
Copper Mountain occupies a prime position in Summit County, Colorado, with terrain that skiers and planners alike admire for its natural organization. The mountain's topography places beginner-friendly terrain on the gentle western slopes, broad intermediate cruisers through the center, and steep expert terrain on the eastern side and Tucker Mountain — so the mountain itself does some of the navigation work.
More than 20 lifts serve the terrain, including the high-capacity Super Bee and American Flyer quad expresses, Woodward Express, Timberline Express, Mountain Chief, Blackjack, and Three Bears. Easy runs like Roundabout, Sluice, Union Park, Coppertone, and Woodwinds Traverse give beginners ample space to develop. The intermediate zone shines with Copperfield, Windsong, Liberty, Bouncer, Collage, Fair Play, and a network of connecting trails. Expert terrain includes Buzzard's Alley, Calendar Chute, Atlantic Cornice, The Taco/Curecanti, Valentine's, Denverite, and the challenging hike-to lines on Tucker Mountain.
On-mountain facilities include Union Creek, Solitude Station, T-Rex Grill, Aerie, and Koko's Hut. Navigate the full mountain with the Copper Mountain Map app, your companion for interactive trail maps and real-time lift status.
