Snowbasin, Utah

Snowbasin Resort sits in the Wasatch Range east of Ogden, Utah, a mountain with both history and serious ski terrain. The resort hosted the men's and women's downhill and super-G races at the 2002 Winter Olympics, putting its challenging upper-mountain terrain on the world stage — and that same terrain is still there for skiers and riders today.

Multiple gondolas and high-speed quads — including the Needles Express Gondola, Strawberry Express Gondola, Allen Peak Tram, John Paul Express Quad, and Middle Bowl Express — access the mountain's three main bowls and more than 100 named runs. Beginners have room to grow on Snowshoe, Penny Lane, Bear Hallow, Needles' Way, and Littlecat. Intermediate skiers enjoy a vast network including Wildcat Bowl, Boardwalk, Bullwinkle, Willow Springs, School Hill, Orson's, and City Hall. Advanced and expert skiers head for Hollywood, Grizzly Downhill, Wildflower Downhill, Shooting Star, Staircase, Dry Bowl, The Jungle, Lone Tree, and the historic Olympic Downhill course.

On-mountain lodges — Earl's Lodge, Grizzly Center, John Paul Lodge, and Needles Lodge — provide full-service dining and amenities that make Snowbasin a destination as comfortable as it is challenging.
