Killington Resort, Vermont
Description
Killington Resort sits in the Green Mountains of central Vermont, encompassing six interconnected peaks: Killington Peak (the highest point in the eastern ski world at 4,241 feet), Skye Peak, Snowdon, Bear Mountain, Ramshead, and Sunrise. Together they form the largest ski resort east of the Rocky Mountains, offering genuine variety in terrain and character across a single lift ticket.
The K-1 Express Gondola provides the main artery to Killington Peak, where expert terrain fans out in every direction — Superstar, Outer Limits, Highline, Double Dipper, and Devil's Fiddle among the most demanding. Bear Mountain adds its own expert reputation with steeps and glades. Intermediate riders have exceptional options on Great Eastern, Bittersweet, Cascade, Snowdon, and the sweeping Wildfire trail. Beginners find a welcoming environment on the Ramshead area and lower-mountain terrain.
Killington's snowmaking infrastructure — the most extensive in the world — allows the resort to open as early as October and stay open well into spring. On-mountain facilities include the K-1 Lodge, Snowshed Lodge, and Ramshead Lodge, among others. Navigate the full six-peak resort with the Killington Mountain Map app, your companion for interactive trail maps and real-time lift status.
