Solitude Mountain Resort sits in the heart of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, just 30 minutes from Salt Lake City. True to its name, Solitude offers a more peaceful mountain experience than its busier neighbors — making it a beloved destination for skiers and riders who value terrain over hype.
The resort's nine lifts — including Summit Express, Eagle Express, Apex Express, and Moonbeam Express — access a wide variety of terrain. Easy routes like Same Street and Dean's Dash welcome beginners, while intermediate cruisers such as Main Street, Sundancer, and Serenity/F.I.S. offer long, satisfying descents. Advanced and expert skiers have plenty to explore in Paradise, Navarone, Here Be Dragons, and the Honeycomb Chutes.
On-mountain amenities include Moonbeam Lodge, The Roundhouse, The Yurt at Solitude, and Last Chance Southwest Grill, giving guests comfortable spots to rest and refuel throughout the day.
