Brian Head Resort, Utah

Description

Brian Head Resort occupies a high plateau in the Markagunt Plateau of Southern Utah at over 11,000 feet elevation. The altitude guarantees consistent snow and cool temperatures even in a region better known for red rock deserts than ski mountains — and the backdrop of Southern Utah's canyon country gives Brian Head a visual setting unlike any other resort in the state.

Seven lifts serve two distinct base areas. The Giant Steps area is anchored by the Giant Steps Express quad and several triple chairs, accessing a broad range of terrain across the mountain's main face. The Navajo area, accessed by the Navajo Express quad, opens up the second face of the resort, with terrain including some of Brian Head's most scenic and varied runs. Beginner and easy terrain covers a significant portion of the mountain — Alpen Way, Blackfoot Express, Heavenly Daze, Maryland Parkway, Paradise, Navajo, and Fremont provide comfortable entry points. Intermediate runs like Giant Steps, Overtime, Aught, Double Aught, Race Course, Yaz, Hard Times, Sugarloaf, and Kodachrome give intermediate skiers plenty to explore. Expert and advanced riders gravitate toward Wild Ride, First Tracks, Bear Paw Pitch, Arb's, Straight Up, and the Pillows.

On-mountain, Giant Steps Lodge provides dining and gathering space. Navigate the full resort with the Brian Head app, your companion for interactive trail maps and real-time lift status.
